CPD in Architectural Concrete
CPD topics in Architectural Concrete and Fine Concrete Finishes, with David Bennett, covering residential projects, bespoke concrete houses, concrete framed buildings, staircases, polished floors, worktops and landscape.
CPD are free of charge and available at lunchtime in London and the Home Counties.
Topics covered include
• Visual Concrete Fine Finishes, Guidelines and Specification - concrete mix, surface finishes - plain smooth, board marked, profiled, corrugated - formwork assembly and detailing, best practice, common concrete defects and how to avoid them
• Concrete Innovations and New Technology - sprayed, layered concrete (similar to rammed), high performance, self-compacting, GRC, precast sandwich panels, terrazzo, seeded stone concrete
• Hand Crafted Concrete Interiors and Exteriors - worktops, polished floors, staircases, benches, patios, terraces, paths, steps and planters
CPD are interactive workshops and run for around 90 minutes and are illustrated with many new projects and detailed construction techniques.
A compressed 60minute version is available, with limited interaction, if that is preferred.
We need 5 people to attend, to make the CPD worthwhile. Small practices could get together with others to make up the numbers.
CPD are master classes in concrete architecture run in workshop style.
